Sham Shui Po managed to pull one back in the second half. On the 66th minute, Chan Ho converted his close-range header and nodded the ball home, cutting Wofoo Tai Po’s lead into half.

However, Sham Shui Po conceded almost immediately, as Paulo Simionato broke behind the Sham Shui Po defense, then finished off his one-on-one chance against goalkeeper Tai Ting-kong. Wofoo Tai Po was now leading 3:1.

On the 83rd minute, Wofoo Tai Po expanded its lead. Paulo Simionato picked up the ball through a Wong Tsz-chun pass, then pulled the trigger from just outside the Sham Shui Po box. The ball found the back of the net and made it 4:1 in the process. Wofoo Tai Po was now pulling away.

Late in the game, the referee spotted a Sham Shui Po player committing a foul inside his own box and awarded Wofoo Tai Po with a penalty. Paulo Simionato converted the spot-kick, completed his hat-trick and made it 5:1 for Wofoo Tai Po.
