Anti Doping

Integrity and player welfare are very important parts of our Hong Kong Premier League and we all want the League to be as clean as possible and to be drug free. Therefore, HKFA will be introducing the doping test in the Hong Kong Premier League to ensure that the league can be more professional and develop in a right direction.

We recognize, however that is difficult to implement testing initially, so we introduce this in a phase basis. Starting from 2014/15 Season, we have been focusing on education and informing players, medical staffs of clubs about the testing process and what would happen and we have had a number of workshops with staff and players.

Since 2015-2016 Season, we started to conduct the random testing into our League. At the same time, it’s very important to us working closely with those organizations such as Fédération Internationale de Football Association, Asian Football Confederation and the Hong Kong Anti-doping Committee to ensure that the entire doping testing process and arrangements meet the international standards.
